historical reporting login problem

Hi,

I am trying to get the historical reporting from IPCC Express up and running.

When trying to connect using a client, I receive the following error:

Unable to establish connection to database. Check the log file for error 5051.

Anyway, in the log file, it looks like possibly an authentication failure.

I am sure I am doing something simple and stupid wrong, but cannot figure it out. The Historical Reporting client is running on my XP laptop which is a memeber of our Windows AD Domain. The CallManager running IPCC is standalone and not a member of the domain.

I have setup the user to login HR, and also set the max users for HR as per documentation on cisco.com

If anyone has suggestions it would be apprecaited, im getting very frustrated :)

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,

Can you answer the following questions.

1. It is fresh 4.0 installation or upgrade?.

2. If it is upgrade then by any chance you reimaged the CRS machine with same IP and restored the 3.x data to 4.0.

Regards

Srikanth

Hi Srikanth,

Its a fresh install of 4.0 with no previous 3.x data.

Cheers,

Mark

I found the solution to the problem. the user ciscohistrptusr did not have access to the cra_db database. I have given the user db_owner access and it now works. Im sure theres some other permission isntead of DBO that i could use, but this seems to work for now :)

Hi, I have exactly the same problem since the upgrade from IPCX 4.01 to 4.03. ... How can I set the CiscoHistRprtUsr to db_owner ?

I am having the same problem but only when I failover. Everything works fine when I'm on the primary IPCC box (Publisher), but on the secondary (Subscriber) when trying to access this information, I get this error message. I get this error message even when the primary is online but I'm operating off the secondary for calls.

Hi Mark,

I am having a similar problem as you stated and I have it reported to TAC but they have been unable to resolve the issue so far. What did you do exactly to correct the issue?

Thanks
