How to determine hostname of Informix server?

I've been charged with creating a wallboard for our new Cisco system.  We are using CCX 8.5 on the IBM Informix server.  I believe I have been able to obtain all the DSN connection information I need, except for the hostname.  Our network guys are only able to provide me the IP of the server.  I SSH'd to the server, but was unable to locate the needed hostname to complete the DSN connection.  Where do I need to look?

Assistance?  Purdy please? (I'm asking really nicely. )

Update: I suppose I should add that I am using the following default DSN configuration, and would appreciate validation:

Server name: [hostmane]_uccx

Host name: [hostname]

Service:1504

Protocol: onsoctcp

Database name: db_cra (I understand this is the proper location of wallboard data)

User ID: uccshruser

As far as I'm told, none of the above information has been changed on the new server.

How to determine hostname of Informix server?

Issue "show status" from the CLI.

HTH,

How to determine hostname of Informix server?

The hostname is the name of your server.  E.g., UCCX1

The instance name is lower case hostname plus "_uccx".  E.g., uccx1_uccx

Theres two other things to note about instance names:

1) If the hostname contains dashes, they are converted to underscores: E.g.  UCCX-1 becomes  uccx_1_uccx as an instance name

2) If the hostname begins with a number, an "i" is prepended to the instance name: E.g, 1UCCX becomes i1uccx_uccx as an instance name.

I can't recall where I learned that, so I'm sorry, but no sources on that one.
