We have an ICM 6.0 HDS and need to have more than the maximum capacity available with total of 6 MCS 72GB drives set up in RAID.
We have 300GB HP hard drives. What is our best option to use these HP drives to increase capacity?

I think following guide will help you .

I take it you have an older MCS running Ultra SCSI drives? DL380 G3 or G4?
Generally speaking the array should be configured as:
- OS & Apps - 2 drives in a mirrored (RAID 1).
- DB Data - 4 drives in a mirrored + striped array (RAID 10).
You should aim for 15K drives for all arrays for maximum performance, but 10K will work - but there can be a performance impact.

Thank you for your reply.
The server is set up the way you have suggested.
I need to replace 2 of the existing 72GB drives with the 300GB drives.
How do I go about this and has anyone done this before?
