IP IVR 7.0 - Basic Question of call waitting

Hi,

I have a IVR with a Menu with 4 options. Each option will have a consult transfer to one extension.

If extension is busy, i am putting call on hold, and then a delay step of 20 seconds and then i remove call from hold and try to transfer again and so on.

My question is if extension becomes idle before my hold delay of 20 seconds in IVR can call be transfered as soon extension is idle ?

If yes, how can i do that?

First, if you are not out-pulsing DTMF to the destination number, then you could get away with using the Call Redirect step.

Second, there is not a way to monitor the status of an extension via UCCX then when it becomes available to make your 20 second delay interruptible.

That is exactly what the Select Resource step does.

It seems like you have a need to queue to a specific person.
