Hi all,
Is it possible for IP-IVR to have integration (ODBC/webservices) with MS Active Directory? Caller would call into their IVR and provide the username and password for authentication with MS AD before proceeding with the call flow.
a) Has this been done before?
b) Does MS AD allows 3rd party for authentication (ODBC/webservices in this case)?
Thanks!

Hi
For the IVR 7.0(1) Sr5 you can have ODBC connections to the following for database dips
Oracle 10g R2, Oracle 10g XE
Sybase Adaptive Server 12
IBM DB2 8.2
MS SQL Server 2000
MS SQL Server 2005
MS SQL Server 2008
MS AD has not been tested from Cisco side but you can follow the section "Defining an ODBC Data Source" to see if it helps

Even if you could do this (not sure you can), it would be problematic. How would users enter special characters via the telephone keypad? Capital letters?
Doesn't sound like a very good idea.
