IPCC 4.0.4 1- Server to 2-Server w/HA Install Procedure

Does anybody have the correct procedure to take a singe server 4.0.4sr1 (still running MSDE) to a fully redundant Dual Server, highly availability configuration?

Will this work?

1. Remove SR1 from existing 4.0.4/MSDE Server (Do I need to?).

2. Install SQL/Run SQL Utility on Primary

3. Install CRS on Standby Server

4. Install SQL/Run SQL Utility

5. Install SR1 on both boxs

6. Active Components on Standby Server

7. Active Publisher.

Am I missing anything? Any steps out-of-order?

Hi,

what do you mean with step 7, Active Publisher ?

I have an ha installation and now the HA server is powered off and I cannot update any application. Is it normal ?
