I need the procedure for Removing a drive from one IBM MCS-7845 Server to another for the purpose of createing a Cold Standby Server for an IPCC Install. On a HP MCS all you have to do is take a drive from the primary move it to the secondary and boot the server. Press F2 to fail the non-responding drives and the server boots up. On the IBM server the process isn't so simple. If I move a drive on the IBM Primary to a secondary (same slots) I get options to Retry, Defunct or Ignore. If I Defunct, then I loose the drive and the controller won't try to boot from it. I can also hit CTRL-I and try to import the RAID config from the Drive, but it Defuncts the drives and won't let me boot from it. Anyone know the procedure to get this done?
