IPCC Express 4.0 with HA and using only SQL MSDE

Will IPCC Express 4.0 with HA function with only SQL MSDE installed??

Hi,

No IPCC Express could function with only MSDE but the HA will not function since MSDE does not do replication between servers. Only MS SQL Server can do replication.

So to have HA working properly you MUST have SQL Server installed.

Reason I asked this was because I deal with our current Call Manager and Unity servers and have been asked to check out backup procedures for the IPCC servers. We have IPCC Express 4.0 with HA, while on the box assigned as the database/reporting server I noticed no SQL management tools, so my first thought was MSDE but it may just be that the vendor never chose to install them while installing SQL2000. I was hoping to schedule a sql backup and that is when I noticed all of this! Thanks again for the verification!
