IPCC Express 4.5 installation problem

IPCC 4.5(2) with Callmanager 5.1(2).

During IPCC installation, the install application asks us to put the hostname or ip address of callmanager and password. The problem is if we input the publisher callmanager ip address, we get the error message: " can not make a http request to callmanager, make sure the callmanager exists and can access it". However, if we put the subscriber callmanaer ip address, there is no issue of going to next step.

We checked the both callmanager servers' services and functionality, looks everything working fine.

Not sure if someone experienced the same problem and how to solve the problem.

couple of things you have to check if you are doing this remotely then check the ip connectivity. If you are on the box is pub and sub on same net or in reach.

It seems a connectivity issue rather than IPCC issue.

Have you tried setting up a DNS????

We tried to cold start the publisher, and we find the following message during starting:

"Starting VerifyNetwork: Starting Network Verification [Failed]"

not sure which this message means and if this is related to IPCC installation error message. However, we can http to publisher from network.

Any help would be appreciated.

Put IP address for Call Managers Publisher and Subscriber! Not the name! Try this.

Starting VerifyNetwork: Starting Network Verification [Failed]" this can mean that you can't access a default gateway.

We tried to use IP Address and hostname as well. Same result.

The above error message is a cisco bug on 5.1(2b) release, but not related to this issue.

We have Cisco TAC involved to see what is wrong.

JJ - I was wondering if you ever came to a resolution on this issue. We are experiencing the same thing so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jeff,

We finally opened a TAC Case, and there are more than 5 TAC engineers involved around the world. The Developer Engineer logon the server and modified some files on Publisher server and looks like some files in Pub have been crashed although all other services working fine.

Open TAC Case, they will help you to solve the problem.

Hi JJ, could please let us know what is the case number. Because we have the some problem ! I was thinking if an CCM upgrade wouldn't resolve this issue.
