IPCC Ext configured on a device

Since I started working with IPCC Enterprise 3 years ago I have alwasy created the IPCC ext as the 2nd line on every device I have ever configured.  In a few occasions I have made it the 1st line when the agent did not have a private extension.

Does it really matter what line position on a device the IPCC line is configured?

We have discussed this before. Perhaps you can search and find the discussion - but maybe not.

There are two schools of thought.

Cisco say that the CC line should be the first line - that's how I do it.

Others think the private line should be the first line, and it looks like you are in that camp.

At the end of the day it does not matter that much - there are good and bad points on each side.
