IPCCX 4.0 and XML files in a clustered environment

A number of script applications use XML files which are referenced by in the scripts using a path relative to the wavvid directory. With IPCCX 4.0 and clustering, can these files be replicated automatically to the warm standby, or do they need to be replicated manually. Alternatively, is there a mechanism to store them in the repository?

I think they need to be replicated manually.

You can put the XML file in the repository using Application | Document Management in appadmin. Use the en_us folder, if that is your default language.

Then you can reference them from a "Create XML Document" step by entering DOC[nameoffile.xml] in the Source Document field. You don't even need the Create File step.

Can changes to these XML files be updated and saved back to the repository under the control of a script? We use XML files to store various state information which can be manipulated by the script.

Can this be achieved with the new Upload Document step? There is a caveat to say this step should not be over-utilised.
