Is CAD MT still a thing? CAD with a softphone built in for incoming calls

I’m running UCCX 7.0(2)_Build254 Enhanced, and our agent’s use physical phones. We’re looking to expand out agent base, and I’ve read that agents don’t need a physical phone if they use the CAD MT (media termination). Is this still correct? The documentation I’m reading isn’t recent, but maybe the feature had a name change? Or is it no longer an option?

I would really like our new agents to have one piece of software to open (CAD), and use headset to communicate with their PC.

I'm also on a verge of upgrading to UCCX v8.

Hi Jonathanwalton,

Agent Desktop supports the use of the IP Communicator soft phone. This application is not provided with Agent Desktop and must be purchased and installed separately.
