Jtapi performance

I was reading the IPCC 4.0 admin guide that you can change this setting (listed below) to improve jtapi perforamnce. Can someone tell me what performance is being affected?

To improve performance while provisioning the JTAPI subsystem, increase the

number of AXL API requests per minute setting using the following steps:

1.In the JTAPI Provider's CallManager Administration, select Service > Service

Parameters.

2. Set Service to Cisco Database Layer Monitor.

3. Click Advanced.

4. Set Maximum number of AXL requests per Minute to 999.

5. Click Update.

Hi Daniel,

Whenever you are provisioning the JTAPI and RmCm providers from CRS Admin, or provisioning the JTAPI call control groups and JTAPI trigger, there might be objects that are created in CallManager such as the corresponding CTI ports and Route Points. The AppAdmin operation uses AXL to interact with CallManager to create or remove these objects.

Performance refers to number of AXL writes that are allowed within a certain amount of time. Increasing the maximum number of AXL writes allows the provisioning to complete quickly. Once you complete the JTAPI configuration, you are required to restore the value of AXL requests per minute to the original value, since AXL writes could potentially have a negative impact on call processing on the CallManager.
