Hi,

Right click the vm machine.

Navigate to power and then to Power On To Firmware.

Your machine should boot into BIOS.

Go to the Boot tab and make sure CD-Rom Drive is at the top.

Press F10 to save and exit.

Right Click the vm again and go to settings.

Make sure iso is attached to CD ROM.

Also, that CD-Rom checkboxes are checked against Connected and Connect at power on.

Now power on the machine.

Kindly see the attached print Screen . tried to same but no luck in favour to me . kindly help me in this

Hi Mudasir,

The file that you are using doesn't seem to be a bootable file.

You would need to get the bootable file for UCCX in order to install the sever.

You can get the file through PUT tool

How do you know whether file is bootable or not

Hi,

A bootable file would have bootable prefixed to its name.

for eg:

Bootable_ucsinstall_UCCX_9_0_2_UCOS_9.0.2.11002-27.sgn.isfo

A bootable file is never published on Cisco download site.

I have ios images  of CUCM and UCCX .then burn these images by using power  ios . these images burn with name UCSInstall_UCCX_9_0_2_UCOS_9.0.2.11002-27.sgn.is it right or wrong .

Kindly guide me

Hi,

Cisco provides two kind of images.

a) non bootable images published on Cisco download site.

b) Bootable images which are ordered through PUT tool or through TAC.

You do not need to burn these images.

You can attach it to the CD-ROM of the virtual machine and boot it (only bootable images).

non bootable is used for upgrade only and cant be booted.

From the name it seems that you have non bootable. You cannot install from these images.

Hi Mudasir,

You cannot build/install a server from the iso on Cisco download site. They are non bootable

Use PUT link to order bootable iso.
