Does anyone know if there is a way to use a line button on a phone to login a user to UCCX? Our previous phone system allowed the user to press a speed-dial button on the phone which logged the user into the ACD. Also this button was lit up so the user would know that they were logged in. When our agents login to Cisco contact center they must go to the services button and then click on the single signon option. However they then have to make themselves ready. Also if they are not ready the only way I have found to view the status is click on the services button again to view the status. A line button that logs the user in and shows their status would be much easier.

No, not natively. You see, each action is a new and different URL.
Example:
Login Page
http://10.0.0.1:6293/ipphone/jsp/sciphonexml/IPAgentInitial.jsp
Changing state
http://10.0.0.1:6293/ipphone/jsp/sciphonexml/IPAgentChangeState.jsp
Therefore, you would need to call two URLs, with one button push, which isn't possible.

IPPA is a phone service, and as such, is capable of being placed on a line of an IP Phone. Look at Phone Button templates, and assign a line the Service URL.
As far as lighting up the light, and even more so, with different colors based on state, that would be cool, but I'm not aware of anyway to do this presently.

Is this also capable of making the agent ready when they hit the URL?
