What the files size of your mainmenu120.wav ? You may need to make them smaller or have multiple prompts.

What is the latency/rtt from router to http://media ?

Sounds like timeout as file is to big, etc. I'd like to see a IOS packet capture of the request.

Re: Media Fetch Error on Application server(CVP)

hi jason,

checked everything and all configs also..seems fine..

i found out that if i send the call to gateway where it has E1 card or DSP resources it works fine.

i have set the Transfer label in CVP to 1 and it works.

donno if we need DSP for caching the files or playing them.

You need to understand how the http client cache in the router works in concert with the lifetime set on the media store. If you do not have this configured suitably, CVP performance can be down by 40%.

"set the Transfer label in CVP to 1" - not sure what you mean by that.

Re: Media Fetch Error on Application server(CVP)

hi Geoff,

I have set the http client cache refresh to 86400.

the transfer label is to make sure that CVP sends the call back to the same gateway from where it arrived. as in our scenario we are using gateways for VXML and ingress also.

the file size of this prompt is <100KB

What is the file size of mainmenu120.wav ?

That does diddly squat. It also implies you don't understand the full picture.

What is the lifetime on the webserver where the audio files live?

Assuming IIS - set content expiration "on" and set it to something sensible like 5 days. You must get the cache on the gateway to work its magic.

I know how to send the call back to the ingress gateway by adding the "transfer label" to the Send To Originator section of CVP OAMP (sorry, assuming SIP).

My question was about this statement - "set the Transfer label in CVP to 1" - not sure what you mean by that.

Regards,

Geoff
