Need Help in Duplex PG setup

Hi

I am trying to setup a Duplex PG.

PG1A --> CUCM Pub 142.11.64.21 (one cluster)

PG2A --> CUCM Pub 142.11.64.21 (2nd cluster).  (we are not using single cluster)

IN PG Explorer

- PIM - CUCM1 - Logical ID: 5000 Periphera ID 5000

- PIM - CUCM2 - Logical ID: 5001 Periphera ID 5001

CGA is installed

now my primary PG is online and all Active status.

When I enable Side B PG2A it stops running all the processor in PG.

Just want to understand how Duplex PG works and how each side knows which one is the backup.  When I setup PG1 on SideA, to make it duplex should I choose PG1 on sideB with same DMP 1?

Re: Need Help in Duplex PG setup

Hi,

What is the version of ICM? Also, please refer to the below link which would help you.

what is the meaning of "We are not using single cluster" so do you mean to say you have different jtapi users for the mentioned call managers

Re: Need Help in Duplex PG setup

I am trying to setup a Duplex PG.

PG2A --> CUCM Pub 142.11.64.21 (2nd cluster).  (we are not using single cluster)

Oh boy. I would not be pointing any JTAPI connections at a publisher, that's for sure. Let's say you have cluster CMA and CMB.

PUBA, SUBA1, SUBA2

PUBB, SUBB1, SUBB2

I would have:

JTAPI gwy PG1A -> SUBA1, JTAPI gwy PG1B -> SUBA2

JTAPI gwy PG2A -> SUBB1, JTAPI gwy PG2B -> SUBB2

When I enable Side B PG2A it stops running all the processor in PG.

Then it is not set up correctly. Go over the settings in Setup. Check the IP addresses of the private connections and to the central controller. Both A and B must be DMP2 for PG2.

Regards,

Geoff
