I am having a serious problem with the installation of OS 2000.4.4 on an HP DL380 G5 server. The server seems to match exactly what the hardware requirements are but the installation keeps bombing out with a "Drive Count Fatal Error-Error Code 1" message. The number of drives is 2 and I have swapped them out with different drives. This OS just came out in March and is the only one that will install on a G5 so I can't try a different OS. Have tried different media and all the other standard troubleshooting steps I can think of. The server is identified as a 7835-H2 by the software itself and does initially start the install process. I am attaching a screenshot of the POST screen as well as the error message. Has anyone run into this before or better still has anyone been able to get 2000.4.4 installed on a HP DL380 G5 Server?
