Pre-requisite from cisco to use the CTI functions-

what are the Pre-requisite from cisco to use the CTI functions- such as Silent Monitoring and Barging (both hardware and s/w requirements)

software:

You need to install the silent monitoring piece when installing the CAD. (agent desktop) on your Agents and Supervisor.

Barging should work as long as you have your CAD installed on your Agent & Supervisor.

Hardware:

I've found the Broadcom NICs worked best for the silent monitoring.

(i've seen many problems with intelPRO NICs but they should have been fixed)

If you have 6.x CUCM and second generation phones you want to set up CTIOS to do silent monitoring through Call Manager.
