QM Enable Devices for Recording

Hi.  We're trying to setup QM 9.0.1 for the first time and when we go to VoIP Devices > Enable Devices for Recording we get Failed to find devices.  I thought this would have been an AXL problem so I created a new Application User in CUCM and configured this username & password under SOAP AXL Access but still get the same error.  Any suggestions what might be the problem?  Thanks.

In order to see the devices in QM you need t create qmJtapi device pool in CM and add the device you want to record.

I have created a device pool in CUCM called qmJtapi, have added my IP phone to it and reset it, but am still seeing the same error in VoIP Devices > Enable Devices for Recording "Failed to find devices".

I've run Wireshark on the QM server and when I click the Find button I see a HTTP request - http://<cucm ip address>/CCMApi/AXL/V1/soapisapi.dll - followed by a response of 404 Not Found from the CUCM.

Please go over a configuration guide. You may have missed somethings.

Hi

1) That device pool advice sounds like mumbo jumbo to me! I wouldn't do that.

2) The http://<cucm ip address>/CCMApi/AXL/V1/soapisapi.dll URL is the AXL URL for CM4.x. The Linux servers have a shorter URL of https://server:8443/axl/.  However... I don't think you get to specify the CUCM version you use, so lets check basics first - have you enabed the 'AXL' service on the CUCM server you see it making the call to?

Aaron, thanks for your reply.  I wondered if it was a version incompatibility issue so I upgraded QM to v10.5 and in there you do get a extra box where you can specify the version of CUCM.  With the right verion selected this version of QM was able to find devices, so I am assuming it was a version thing.  Cheers.
