Hi,all

We are doing some test about CVP integration with IPCC in our lab enviroment. We have some questions about it.

1) If we want to deploy CVP to Play prompt,Collect Digits,Integrate with Database like IVR, Which type should I choose?

2) When I configure the CVP PIM, there is one option named Network transfer preferred. According the document, this option is no checked. Could somebody explian it?

Any effort would be appreciated.

Thank You

Yi Cai

Yi Cai,

If no VXML or ASR/TTS integration, queue and transfer mode is good enough.

hi

Network routing client

A name used to associate routing clients across instances.

Network transfer preferred

Checked, indicates network transfer is preferred.

When the target of a call transfer is reachable by both a label defined for the requesting routing client and by another label defined for the network routing client that pre-routed the call, this option indicates which choice is preferred.

micro-apps are good for prompt/collect. For DB backend you would be better of using the VXM server and Audium.

The network transfer option is used to determine what routing client a label should be sent to.

For example,

o Assuming the post-route request came from an IPCC agent, the route request is originating from the Call Manager routing client.

o If 1234 is defined *only* in the Call Manager routing client, the router will send the transfer to CM.

o If 1234 is defined *only* in the CVP routing client, the router will send the transfer to CVP.

o If 1234 is defined for *both* CM and CVP routing clients:

 If Network Transfer Preferred is checked on both the CVP routing client, and the CM routing client, the router will send the transfer to CVP.

 If Network Transfer Preferred is not checked on either the CVP routing client or the CM routing client, the router will send the transfer to CM.
