Reinstal IPCC with new name, shows old name

CM 4.1.3

I had IPCC express 4.0.1 (Name: IPCC4x)

I needed to reinstall the IPCC server. So, I used the 2000.2.7 hadware detection CD.

This time I used the name IPCC instead of IPCC4x

When it was all done, I went into System - Control Panel.

There were two servers listed

1st IPCC4x

2nd IPCC

It was still looking for IPCC4x engine, so it would not start since IPCC4x has been wiped out.

Where does it keep that information, in IPCC or CCM? Did I have to uninstall it first?

Is there a way to do a real clean install. I am not sure what I would have done different from a fresh install.

So you used BARS to re-import the data? This is not supported. Because of SQL you cannot rename a CRS server, even if you rebuild servers.

You would have to do a fresh install and manually re-configure server and upload your scripts.

No I did not use BARS.

I installed a fresh new ipcc with a different name and IP address.

What I did, that might have caused this was choose the Default LDAP profile from the drop down menu.

I will try to re-install again and see how it goes.

Will update this thread later.
