Does anyone have a good script for routing based on area code, without using database dips? I have an IPCC Express enhanced installation and need to route calls to different extension based on area code. I tried to convert the collected calling num from a string to an integer so I can do some computations based on the number, but am getting an error when the string goes beyong 5 digits. So any ideas would be welcome.
The attached script will get the ANI, strip out the Area Code, and convert the Area Code to an integer. As for the routing portion, if you have access to the Java steps you will have access to the database steps and that will be the easiest way to route calls based on area code.
