Script sends an email.

Hi,

We have a customer that "filters" 911 calls by first going to a UCCX script, asks "are you sure you need 911", and if you don't hangup the call goes on the emergency responder and on to 911.

There asking us if we can generate an email out of the script that gives the calling number so they can tell who dialed 911 either by accadent and hungup or for real.

Can this be done?  These guys are running 8.x everything...Call Manager, UCCX etc..

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Script sends an email.

That's a very interesting approach to preventing accidental 911 calls.

In the UCCX premium feature set, there exists the capability to send e-mails out of the script.  do you have premium?  If so, look in your script editor for the send email step, and use its help property to figure out how to use it.

Re: Script sends an email.

Yes in your script you need something like this:

Email_Contact = Create eMail

Send_eMail (Email_Contact to Email_Address)

variables are:

Email_Contact - Contact - Null

Email_Address - String - "email address of recipient"

Then in the "Create eMail" step when you configure the body message you should be able to pull a "calling number" field and put it in quotes and it will be displyed in the email.

Re: Script sends an email.

Thanks guys,

It is running premium so I'll get this into my lab.  I'll post back if I have problems or get it working.

Thanks,

Mike
