what is the best way to get a script to ask for a pin number before it will proceed to the next steps?

Within CRS Script Editor there is a User Folder with Authenticate User step, this will authenticate against CallManager user db.

The attached script shows the script flow using the "Authenticate User" step. Another method is to store the PIN in a variable designated as a 'parameter' which can then be managed through the application setup within the CRS web administration front-end, if you don't wish to use authenticate against a particular user in the Directory.
