Silent monitoring with IPCC Express Premium

Hi

I have IPCC server with two NIC cards. One for normal activities and the second for monitoring.

I have IPCC express Premium 4.0.4 Build_140 and OS 2000.4.3a.

Can you help me with configuring silent monitoring? What I should configure on IPCC server?

Hi,

There are two ways to do silent monitoring, based on desktop or based on server.

The easiest one is the first one, desktop. You do not need to configure the second NIC card, just enable SPAN to PC Port on the agent phones (in CallManager, only 7941, 7960, 7970 and 7971 IP Phones) and you will be able to monitor calls from the CSD.

If you would want to monitor calls from the telephone you should configure remote monitor on IPCCX.

Anyway you should wait for expert opinions, this is just my experiencie.

Can you please brief me if ther is ny other configuration required to use the Silent Monitor with SPAN to PC Port. Do i still need to run the voip monitor services and configuration?
