UCCE - PG mdsproc and pim

Hi

In UCCE with ICM PG, the PG has the mdsproc and pim component services. If the PGs have redundant pair, say PG1A and PG1B, with PIM configured for the CCM and CVP, what does PG1A mdsproc Active mean? Also PIMs can be active on either of the PG servers.

Basically, what do the mdsproc and pim services mean on the ICM PG service.

In short:

MDS: Used to keep both sides synchronized, it ensures delivery of all messages to both sides across the private link.

PIM: Used to communicate to your peripheral think of it as a tserver in Genesys, it translates the peripheral's messages to Cisco's languages.
