I am upgrading to 9 on a C200 server.  what would be the best upgrade path to complete this task?

UCCX 4.0(5) UPGRADE TO 9

At a high level you would go from 4.0(5) to 7.0(2)ES3 using the Data Migration Tool known as PUT.  Not to be confused with the online PUT, which is for ordering upgrades.  Once on 7.0(2)ES3, you would go direct to 9.0(2).

Some documents you may find helpful:

This is just complex enough that you would benefit from either: A) doing a fresh install and just starting over or B) highering a Cisco partner who does this all the time.

I would bet money that your scripts in 4.0(5) are written in such a way that will not work on 9x.  And thus you will need to rewrite some portion of your scripts prior to moving to 9x.
