We want to be able to take emails to our helpdesk inbox and somehow have them initiate a call or trigger a specific phone script.
Has anyone done this before or know how that could shed some insite?

This is a great question, were you able to get this working?
With Premium you get the E-mail Integration Manger which can do this very thing + loads of extra features that I am yet to see in a working enviroment....
