I am trying to configure the new email function of UCCX (not the E-Mail Interaction Manager).
I configured all the needed parameters in the Desktop Administrator web page -> Agent E-Mail Settings -> Global Settings
But in the contact service queue settings, I couldn't see any CSQ ?! this is normal because no one is defined...
Why ? because I don't know how to do it
In the appadmin website, when I try to create a new CSQ, the only CSQ type available is "voice", I cannot choose email ... Do you know what I missed ?
I have all the needed license files, I restarted the server ...
Thanks you so much for you help !
Solved! Go to Solution.
im using uccx 7.01 premium licensed and i have the email option.
Wich licensing do you have?
I have also a premium license and there is an email option in the subsystem menu but this is different of the agent inbound email.
To use this new feature, you must create a specific CSQ of a "email" type, not a voice type.
But I don't know how to enable it :(
I already configured the email part of the desktop administrator web interface...
It's working better now :)
Thanks you !
Do you know if the Agent Inbound Option can work with the CU E-Mail Interaction Manager ?
Of the second disables the Agent Inbound ?
this is for a demo environment ;)
You might want to look at the data sheet for UCCX 7.0 with Premium licenses. Cisco Interaction Manager allows for both email and chat for inbound agents.
i was wondering if you could explain something to me
i need to configure this, i've never done it before, i have uccx 7.0(1)SR5 with premium licensing
on the desktop administrator
on the imap settings, do i need to enable imap on the exchange 2007 server ?
the accounts needed, what kind of rights do they need ? could you guys please let me know
if i configure this, am i going to be able to queue e-mails ?
thank you guys and i apologize for my ignorance
Yes, you need to enable IMAP on Exchange, and you need to give the user account the IMAP feature access. Use these sample steps to validate that you setup IMAP for your account correctly.
> telnet host.domain.com 143
x login username password
x list "" "*"
x status inbox (messages)
x select inbox
x fetch 1 full
x fetch 1 rfc822.header
x fetch 1 rfc822.text
Use these steps to confirm your SMTP config (Google Base64 encoding to encode your username and password online):
> telnet host.domain.com 25
