I am talking to a customer who is interested in keeping their UCCX cluster in their Data Center in Phoenix. They have remote sites in NJ and all along the east coast. They want to have their agents sit in NJ. Customer will have MPLS VPN connectivity between the sites.
I know the RTT latency between UCCX nodes has to be under 80 msec so we will place both primary and Standby nodes in Phoenix as East-West coast typically exceeds RTT 80msec.
Is there a constraint on having agents in NJ and other remote sites -- bandwidth/ latency when the UCCX nodes are in Phoenix ?
Not really, this is a typical scenario. Just make sure you have sufficient transcoders in Phoenix if calls for call centers will be arriving to the East Coast location and you are using G729 between the sites to transcode the sessions as UCCX cannot perform native transcoding.
