UCCX 8.5 Enhanced version write out the external database?

Hi All,

I am currently running UCCX 8.5 Enchanced version. We have a normal call flow but want to modify it to have callers enter a PIN inorder to get service.  For example, a caller calls in and enters his assigned PIN, then the call would be pass onto the call queue, if the caller does not have a PIN, the call would go to a voicemail where a technican would return the call later.  I understand that this can be implimented using XML, where the pre-assign PIN are stored on a xml sheet and the call flow would check the entered PIN againest the xml file.

Is it possible to have the enchanced version write out the entered PIN to a database for tracking? and if so, what are the formats that are available? For example, we want to be able to track each time a vaild PIN has been entered so at the end of the month, we can see that this specific customer called in ths many time.

Regards,

Allan

UCCX 8.5 Enhanced version write out the external database?

Hi

Not easily - Enhanced doesn't support database dips. It does allow you to do HTTP requests, so you could write a little web page that CCX could 'GET' each time a call comes in; the page would need to make the DB entries based on information that CCX sends in the GET request parameters... Theoretically :-)

Hi,

it's actually very easy, using HTTP requests, all you have to do is create a proxy application (HTTP-to-database). Here's how: https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-29776
