UCCX 8.5 Historical Reporting Data

To my understanding, Historical data is being collected on all "agent" lines which include inbound and outbound calls made from that line at all time.  Is that correct?  Or does it only collect call details for calls that came into a trigger then to the agent only when they are logged into CAD and does not detail outbound calls?  I am looking on CCO everywhere and on UCCX guides to find supporting documentation!  Any clarification and supporting documentation would be amazing!!!
