UCCX database questions

I have a new customer that wants to know whether UCCX 6.0 supports the following:

.Net Supporting

1. Does UCCX supports NET. Frameworks?

- Microsoft.Net Framework runtime version 1.1

- Microsoft Web Services Extension (WSE) 2.0 SP3

2. Is it support calling a custom execute file in these vbs functions? If yes, what is the corresponding folder structure?

VBS Supporting

1. Any system, environment or server variable could be referenced?

2. Any predefined variables to identify the machine type, like UAT, DEV, PROD machines?

3. How to get the db connection OBJ in these predefined functions?

4. Is it supporting db connection pool?

Network Support

1. Could we have a custom port for the application, like db connection, web service communication?

Would appreciate any help.

Cheers,

Hunt

Re: UCCX database questions

Any functionality beyond what is provided with the Script Editor needs to be written in Java.

For external data connectivity, you have ODBC to supported SQL servers or XML support from the CRS Repository or an HTTP URI.

.NET/VBS is not supported and even if the customer was able to get something working, it would be short lived as UCCX 8 will be moving the product to the Linux appliance-based model where VB and .NET will no longer be an option.

Re: UCCX database questions

Thanks for your reply =)

My client now has the following queries on JAVA:

1) Which version of JAVA is supported by UCCX 6.0?

2) Could they another java library? For example, AXIS?

3) Does Cisco has any sample JAVA scripts that i could show my client??

Would greatly appreciated your help.

Kind Regards,

Hunt
