UCCX Script get reporting stats for email

In a script i need to be able to verify how many email contacts are currently in an email contact service queue.  Customers will email us documents to process and then they will call to see if we got them.  we want to be able to play a "have patience" message if the email queue gets backed up.  The get reporting statistics only seems to have values for voice queues.  Any ideas how to get that statistic?
