Unable to play prompt to outbound call

Hello,

I am using IPCX 4.0(4)SR01_Build029 (premium version).

I created a script with the following behavior :

- My internal users dial extension 6306

- the script accepts the call and asked for a number to dial with a play prompt step.

- the script gathers the digits and dial out a new call using Place call step.

- Then I try to notify my external called party using a play prompt step. it fails and here is my problem.

Scipt debugs tell : com.cisco.dialog.PlayPromptDialog is not supported.

I seems that I can play prompt to the original triggered contact (original called party) but not to a new called party created by the script.

Is it true ?

Regards,

Guillaume

Re: Unable to play prompt to outbound call

Hello,

yes, the PlayPrompt prompt will be played to the original contact that triggered the script.

A workaround may be to use to conference the triggering contact and the placeCalled contact together then use the PlayPrompt step.

Re: Unable to play prompt to outbound call

Hello

The Place Call step results in a Contact ( variable that you have created ). In the Play prompt Step, you need to specify this contact instead of triggering contact. -> the prompt will be played to the external party

question : how do you set up this conference ?

I can't join the new contact and the triggering contact in a conference ?

I've made my own workaround : I dial the script, the script dials out + hangs up on me.. once connected, the script redirects the new contact to the original calling number, which is my number --> all cost go to the company
