VXML trouble with Content Switch

Hi

I have a CSS which I am using with IPCC enterprise (CVP4.1, ICM7.2). I am however having difficulty with load balancing to the vxml servers. I have CSS11503 running version 7.2

so I have

service voicexml1

ip address x.34.3.91

port 7000

keepalive type http

keepalive uri "/index.jsp"

protocol tcp

active

service voicexml2

ip address x.34.3.129

port 7000

keepalive type http

keepalive uri "/index.jsp"

protocol tcp

active

content VOICEXML

add service voicexml1

add service voicexml2

protocol tcp

port 7000

url "/*"

advanced-balance arrowpoint-cookie

vip address x.34.3.232

active

am I doing something wrong with the routing?

Thanks

Michael

Re: VXML trouble with Content Switch

Do you have a group set up for this service on the CSS? If not you will run the risk of client requests going directly to the VXML servers.

Also, do the service show as active when you issue 'show service'?

Re: VXML trouble with Content Switch

Hi Jason

thanks for the reply. Yes I have a group setup for the service. Also, this service does not show as active anymore. It did at the start but its down now.

Re: VXML trouble with Content Switch

The CSS will usually spoof services up for a couple of seconds when you first turn them up. If the services aren't up, the VIP won't be alive. You have to figure out why they aren't up. Sometimes the CSS can't process some types of pages using the HTML probe so you may have to switch to a TCP probe.

Hope this helps.
