WFM install - need for sysadmin rights

Hi All,

The WFM 8.3.3 install guide states that the sql login required needs dbcreator and sysadmin privileges.

We are about to deploy WFM for a customer where the WFM database will reside in an SQL cluster, therefore they do not want to give this user sysadmin privileges.

Does it really need the sysadmin role as I would have thought if it has the dbcreator role at a system level and then the appropriate rights for the database itself it should be OK?

thanks

Scott

Hi

It sounds feasible to me - the other option would be for them to grant rights temporarily and babysit while you run the setup, then revoke the extra rights.

Scott,

I have WFO both AQM and WFM.  For the SQL user, have you DBA create a separate SQL Logon in Security section. Have then Grant ADMIN rights to that User account. Yes.. it give you equal rights, but it can be restricted to the WFM_DB instance.
