Where can I find information on UCCX Inbound Email handling?

Hello,

We have UCCX Premium licenses and would like to take advantage of the inbound email handling features. We do not have it setup or configured at this time. Where can I find information on the email handling features that are available, the system/server requirements, etc? I can't seem to find any of this on Cisco's web site.

Also, am I to assume that Cisco EIM is for UCCE only, and that the email handling in UCCX is completely different?

Thanks,

Brian

Brian,

With UCCX you can use the CAD email feature to have email queues. This requires that you a compatible version of exchange . You can double check the compatibility in the following link

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_compatibility/matrix/crscomtx.pdf

Also you cold find the configuration step in the following link (page 197)

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_8_5/user/guide/cda85ccxug-cm.pdf

Thank you for the configuration documentation link!  That was exactly what I was looking for.

Regarding compatibility with MS Exchange, has anyone used CAD Email with Microsoft's Office365 Email service? We use do not have an on-premise Exchange server as we use O365.

Brian,

I really don't know if that is possible, as per the matrix is not supported.
