Windows Updates

I'm looking to bring our server up to date as far as Windows patches.

It's Windows 2003 running Unified CCX Enhanced 5.0(1)SR02_Build026

OS image: 2003.1.2A

OS Service Release: 2003.1.2aSR19

I'm having a heck of a time finding the proper Cisco MCS OS patch.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Many thanks---

Re: Windows Updates

It's kept under UC Manager 4.3 > Voice Applications OS and BIOS Updates.

http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/go/PlatformList.x?sftType=Voice+Applications+OS+and+BIOS+Updates&mdfid=280771554&treeName=Voice+and+Unified+Communications&mdfLevel=Software%20Version/Option&url=null&modelName=Cisco+Unified+Communications+Man...

Read the release notes *very* carefully. The update order is very picky! Also remember to disable CSA prior to installing any updates.

Re: Windows Updates

Thanks for the reply.

So I should be able to go with 2003.1(2a)_SR20, correct?

I've never done one of these updates before. Is this just a rollup of the latest updates?

Thanks...

Re: Windows Updates

Hi guys. Can we confirm that UCCX doesnt support Windows general release OS updates and the correct procedure to update these boxes is to use the patches supplied on the CCO.

Does anyone have a document detailing this? Will Cisco support servers which have had Windows OS updates applied which have not been downloaded from CCO?

Re: Windows Updates

It most definitively does *not* support direct Windows/Microsoft updates. That is the express route to breaking an install. The Calabrio code is so touchy that this could easily spiral downhill to the point of needing a reinstall.

I was looking for the UCOS doc that states this but haven't found it yet and my ambition is lacking at the moment. PDI can help you dig this up also if you're a partner.
