We are using both cisco blade servers with UCS managers through fiber-interconnect and standalone rack mount servers with IMCs. Our UCS managed servers are sending hardware alerts through the UCS manager into a product called spectrum. We currently don't seem to have any hardware alerting set up for the standalone servers that use IMCs... I've looked at lots of documentation for the Cisco IMC Management Pack (for SCOM), and I don't see the word hardware anywhere in it. Does anybody know if this product can alert for hardware?
The only other alternative we have come up with is to send these tickets into spectrum using the IMC, but that means we'd have to have a database instance for each of these IMCs...not really ideal in comparison to having just a few UCS managers along with all the server names in our ticketing system.
If anybody knows of other products that would allow hardware alerting for standalone Cisco servers using IMCs, that would be very helpful as well.
Hi, I know the basics for Cisco routers and switches but what I want to
know is, if I set up VTP on a switch, is there a way to send it through
routers to other switches? This will probably end up more hassle than
gain, but it's interesting and cool to pl...
