Hi guys, I dont know if this is the correct forum for my questions. I have a Cisco Explorer 4652HDC digital cable box. For the video I connected to my LCD by HDMI and for the sound to the home theater by optical cable. In the display of the digital box appears the 1080 referring to the resolution of the tv but the 5.1 format for the sound does not appears in the display.
What setting I have to configure in the cable box for the 5.1 to be display?
In the sound options in settings I can select narrow, wide, normal and fixed or variable. What is the diff and what is the best setting for the audio?
