Design Cisco Digital Media Signage

Dear All,

I am trying to design a cisco digital media signage for HQ and 5o remote locations,

I have found in order to build the design the network to install a cisco digital media manager at HQ and digital media player at remote locations.

During my search I have found Cisco Digital Media Suite - Cisco Digital Media Manager v.5.2.3 for DMM and Cisco Digital Media Player 4400  for DMP, but the issue  the Cisco Digital Media Suite - Cisco Digital Media Manager v.5.2.3 is end of sale

But I could not find a replacement for Cisco Digital Media Suite - Cisco Digital Media Manager v.5.2.3.

The question is that the right approach to design a  cisco digital media signage?

And what is the replacement for Cisco Digital Media Suite - Cisco Digital Media Manager v.5.2.3.?

Thanks for your support in advance

Abdallah

Cisco DMS has been replaced

Cisco DMS has been replaced with a third-party solution called AppSpace's Nexus-on-Demand which Cisco now re-sells.

Hi Xavi As Leo mentioned ,

Hi Xavi

As Leo mentioned , you go to Appspace Solution which will help to display all the contents as you wish by an application design.Kindly find the below:-

1- You will need for H/W " Cisco UCS C22M3 , or any higher model".You can use only one appliance or you can use two appliances for HA.

2-Microsoft windows 2008 , or 2012.

3-My SQL.

4-Appspace S/W latest release 5.0.3.

5-Cisco DMP "Edge players 340" as example.

Hi

1- You can used Cisco DCM 9900 to allow push multicast IPTV channels MPEG2 .

2-You should have multicast running on your network to allow IPTV running ok.

3-Using on-premise Appspace " you can push contents to display on screes ".

4-Appspace has IPTV application which is very perfect designed based on customer requirements .

5-You can did a special design for one of the application and go inside the application and create Layout and designed an area for IPTV.

Thanks ISLAMThe thread is

Thanks ISLAM

The thread is useful to me.

one item is missing; is the TV channel integration, what i understood we need decoder to convert the RF signal into IP level then multicast it to the remotes.

what do suggest for the encoder and what is the module P/N needed in order to integrate it with Appspace?

Thanks

Abdallah

HiFor IPTV ,there are many

Hi

For IPTV ,there are many vendors for IPTV. I recommended for you Cisco DCM 9900 , very good encoders very stable . Kindly find the below :

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/video/transcoders/7017813.pdf

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/video/headend/DNCS/78-4003867-01_B.pdf

After you finish installation of Cisco DCM encoders ,or any other vendors . you should get a multicast IPs for TV channels .

On Appspace , you have two options:-

1- Appspace IPTV  application.

2-You can design an area on your application , and put a multicast IP for TV channels.

If you need any help , kindly share with me your information

Hi Islam,actually, I've a

Hi Islam,

actually, I've a customer who is looking for a digital signage in the HQ (10 players) and according to the Cisco ordering guide, i found the following part numbers:

CS-E300-K9             (Cisco Edge 300 DMP)

L-DMS-AS-PRO      (Appspace Pro)

L-DMS-PRO-CAL-1       (QTY 10)

so my question is that is that the right design or I've to go with Cisco DMM 5.4 and 4310 DMP?

second is, to resell the appspace application, does it require any additional partnership specialization with Cisco?

thanks,

Hi 1- Edge players 340 ,

Hi

1- Edge players 340 , Excellent players which display contents very well and its processor very well. You do not have to go DMM solution , go direct to Appspace on primes , this a very wonderful solution for digital signage now days.

2-Yes , you have to be a ATP partner Authorized Technology Provider.

Thanks
