DMP 4305G and 4400 Kernel upgrade

I am using DMP 4305G and 4400 in standalone mode. I need documentation on how to upgrade the Kernel on DMPs when used in standalone Mode (without a DMM). I got the following instruction from Cisco, but when I did this, I got a blank page, no response. How to you verify the Kernel upgrade was successful? Thanks for your help.

1) host the kernel image on a webserver and get the link to that image

Re: DMP 4305G and 4400 Kernel upgrade

The procedure that you have is correct.

To check status of Upgrade:

* After the upgrade and DMP reboots use this command to check the status:

  http://admin:default@a.b.c.d:7777/get_param?p=init.upg*

Sample Response:

init.upg_context              T_STRING            Upgrade  (kernel) succeeded

What version of firmware are you running on DMP?  Please provide a screen snapshot of Hardware & Firmware screen from the DMP-DM webpage.

Re: DMP 4305G and 4400 Kernel upgrade

Thomas,

Thanks for your interest to resolve this issue. Version is 5.2 and Hardware is DMS-DMP-4305G-DS. I have resolved it by adding the MIME-type .tivella extension (as text/plain) in IIS to allow the upgrade file to be served by the web server. The upgrade was successful. Thanks again.

Re: DMP 4305G and 4400 Kernel upgrade

Thomas,

Do you have a list of DMP commands or a link of the documentation containing DMP commands via Web  GUI such as http://admin:default@a.b.c.d:7777/get_param?p=init.upg*? I cann't find that on Cisco site.

Thanks,

Jules
