Hi, i´m testing the dmp with an lcd from samsung. I´m using the rs-232 port just to turn on and off the monitor.
I have same questions:
1- wich rs-232 cable should be used straight? null-modem? The documents i checked do not mention that.
2- I was testing it with my pc first instead of the dmp, 9.6k 8n1 no flow control, with no sucess.
3- Hexa commands for Samsung lcd, there is a table?
Thanks for any lead.
Regards
Carlos

I believe it is a null modem cable. That has worked for me. I have attached a PDF that I found that describes how to create RS232 hex commands for Samsung displays. I have tried a few from this list and they worked for me.

I also Used an RS232-cross cable and work for me.
