ASA 5516-X Upgrade

Hello there!

I get a doubt and would like to count on your support to be able to fix it.

I currently have a customer with a Cisco ASA 5516-X the firewall is running the 9.12(4) ios version with 7.15(1) asdm version and the customer is requesting the upgrade of the IOS & asdm.

My concern here is, if I have to jump between versions or I can go directly to the last one. I ask this because the firewall has around 12 vpns, acl, nats, anyconnect vpns and other security stuff and I wouldn't like lose the whole configuration.

What do you suggest me?

hi @Scott12 you can upgrade directly to the latest version. but make sure you are using higher DH values above 2 and higher encryption levels.

You dont need any interim upgrade version as you can see through this link, you can upgrade directly as mentioned previously:
