EEM Script to alert on Serial signal loss

Does anyone know how to create an EEM script to kick out a syslog upon a serial interface signal loss? To view the signal loss you have to look at the T1 controller interface and I don't see an option in EEM to monitor the controller or the T1 interface? Thoughts? Thanks.

You will need to use the

You will need to use the timer event detector to run periodically (you can run this as quickly as once per second if you need to), execute the "show controller" command, parse the output, and then send the syslog if you see the signal loss.  Depending on IOS version this can be done with an EEM applet.
