EEM Script

I am new to eem scripting and would appreciate help.  Our problem is that we have areas where we are using DSL and cable and when that goes down we want the branch to fail over the a 4G connection.  I was curious if anyone had made a script using an IP SLA so that I can try this out and see if it works for us?  I have not tried this because I do not have any place to start to look at the script.  Thank you for helping me I greatly appreciate it.

There are a lot of examples.  Just search this community for "IP SLA" and you'll find a number of threads talking about this topic.  Additionally, we have a canned solution we created as part of our Embedded Automation Systems initiative at http://www.cisco.com/go/easy .  From the solution downloads link on that site look at the Connectivity Verification using IPSLA and EEM solution.

I tried that before I posted the message above and could not find anything.  Do you have any suggestions to help me?  Thx.  Mamu

I plugged in "IP SLA" and I found a number of hits, among them

https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3885381#3885381 .  There is also the EASy package I mentioned.

I looked at this and it does not address my issue as noted above.  Again, I did as you suggested and have not found anything that will detect when the ADSL interface is down and the bring up the 4G interface.

Do you have a specific script that you are referring to?  Also, when I sent to this url http://www.cisco.com/go/easy, it didn't have anything close to what I am looking for.

Perhaps you would be good enough to give me a base config of something that I could use.

Thank you for your help and suggestions.

I don't know what your config or interfaces look like, but I thought that the foundational applet proposed in the above-mentioned thread would give you a hint at how this can be done.  That would be a good base config that from there, you could do what you need to do to cause the failover to 4G.  The thread showed an example with EEM and IP SLA.

The EASy download link is

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/iosswrel/ps6537/ps6555/ps10777/eas_sol_downloads.html (again, look for "Connectivity Verification using IPSLA and EEM solution") .  But I wanted to give you the main page so you could read more about the initiative and get a better idea of what the packages are.
