I've run into an incident that caused the CPU of a router to spike to 100%, and in the process lost data.
Details apart, I noticed that "max cpu percent" used in the last 5 minutes is not available in MIB (at least not in a 7200 running 12.4).
I can imagine how to write some EEM script that can calculate/keep las 5 minutes max CPU index, but I would like to expose such data as an OID, for an NMS to peek it from there. Would that be possible ? (keeping a running last 5 min max would also need some persistent vars too...)
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
