This is quick and dirty, but I couldn't find anything out there with the functionality I needed.
I basically wanted to be able to issue commands to manually reset a buggy LTE interface on a C2911 (EHWIC-LTE-4G-G) as it crashes every week. I had an EEM to reset based on an IP SLA down, but I have had that not bring it up first reset. I wanted the ability to be able to reset the controller, reboot the modem, or worst case reload the whole router.
This TCL will parse an SMS message for a password you set, then execute the command after the password. Probably technically a bit of a security risk, but very useful none the less!
This returns nothing to the user, just executes the command and gets on with routing.
Upload to your router's flash, then add the lines:
event manager directory user policy "flash:/"
event manager policy SMSCommand.tcl to your running config.
